**UPDATE:  This project closes June 3, 2024, at 2:00 PM Central.**  The Kansas City Area Transportation Authority (KCATA) is soliciting written proposals from qualified firms to provide management and operation of fixed route transit services on behalf of the City of Independence, Missouri (City), and will result in a contract betwen the City of Independence and Contractor.  References to KCATA in this RFP shall be construed as "City".   The project is funded with Federal Transit Administration (FTA) grants and with local funding. The services will be structured to comply with Federal Transit Administration (FTA) reporting requirements, FTA drug and alcohol testing program requirements, and meet all ADA and other statutory regulations.

NOTE: Level 01, West lower roof mezzanine levels are out of the area associated with the project work. Level 01 is an existing CNG bus maintenance facility for public transit buses.

KCATA Paratransit & Mobility Services for Kansas City, MO

The Kansas City Area Transportation Authority (KCATA, ATA, Authority) is soliciting written proposals from qualified firms to assist in providing ADA complementary paratransit service and non-ADA demand response service in all areas, regardless of service agency, where ADA paratransit and non-ADA demand response services operate in the name of RideKC.  The paratransit services will be structured to comply with Federal Transit Administration (FTA) reporting requirements, comply with FTA drug and alcohol testing program requirements, and meet all ADA and other statutory requirements. 

There are two components to this Request for Proposals (RFP):

• Package A:  Management and Operations of the Services
• Package B:  Technology Provider for Dispatch and Scheduling Services

Firms may submit proposals for Package A or Package B, or submit a combined, all-inclusive Proposal.  KCATA reserves the right to award multiple contracts for these services.

This project is funded with Federal Transit Administration (FTA) grants and with local funding.  There is a 20% Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goal established for this project.

The Kansas City Area Transportation Authority (KCATA) is seeking qualified Contractors to provide installation of required electrical infrastructure, including concrete transformer pad,  condiutes, wiring, etc. All work shall conform to the specifications contained herein and the specifications issued by the Kansas City Metropolitan Chapter of the American Public Works Association and such modifications as may be required by the KCATA.
