KCATA Vice-Chair Jason Sims Joins KC2026 Team

(Kansas City, Mo., July 25, 2024) – The Kansas City Area Transportation Authority (KCATA) congratulates Jason Sims, KCATA Board vice-chair, on his selection as Director of Transportation for KC2026. KC2026 Press-Release With more than 23 years of experience in the transportation industry, Sims is an established and respected leader in traffic management operations, safety, congestion mitigation and system development. Sims is credited with providing the operational vision for and led the development of the Kansas City Scout Traffic Management Center, which has served the bi-state region of Kansas City since 2003. Sims was appointed to the KCATA Board of Commissioners January 27, 2022, representing Wyandotte County, Kans. He will continue to serve in his Vice-Chair capacity.

“It is truly an honor to serve in this role for KC2026, and I am looking forward to contributing to a world-class regional transportation experience for the World Cup,” said Sims.
